Instead of fumbling with two hands to release the old style flush mounted magazine release, the new Ruger-made polymer extended magazine release makes dropping a 10-rd BX-1 with a single forward motion of the lever. In addition to adding style, it is not likely you will accidently drop your magazine. The auto bolt release eliminates two-handed manipulation of the bolt lock and the guide rod handle into one motion. When cocked, pull the cocking handle to release the bolt. To lock, simply press the bolt lock tab and retract the cocking handle until it locks in a safe position. Two (2) spare B-35 pins are included in case you may easily lose one in the field. This product does not lock the bolt back in a safe position after the 10th round is expended. The bolt lock is modified from Ruger manufactured parts.
